THE CRAFTSMANSHIP AND MATERIALS THAT MAKE OUR SNEAKERS STAND OUT
Leather is the main component of our sneakers which is why we make no compromises when it comes to it. The leather is LWG Gold-rated Italian pebble leather which is also the world’s first USDA certified biobased leather. The raw hides are a waste-product of the European meat industry and are tanned in compliance with the strict REACH Regulations.
The sneakers were designed with the goal to realize the ultimate minimalist sneaker. We removed all unnecessary stitching and prominent branding to realize an ultra-clean silhouette which directs the focus on the gorgeous Italian leather and will never go out of style.
It takes the collaboration of 37 artisans and 52 production steps to craft one single pair of our sneakers. The vast know-how of our manufactory and the premium materials used, ensures the exceptional longevity and refined appearance of our sneakers.
For every single order, we plant one tree with our partner On A Mission and remove 80 plastic bottles from our beloved Oceans with our partner Empower. We are very proud to be a climate-positive and plastic-positive Company. Every Sneaker is packaged completely free of any virgin plastics in a beautiful black sneaker box and comes with a cotton dust bag from Italy. Every product has a footprint. We do everything in our power to make sure it’s a positive one.

How do I take care of my sneakers?
The best care for the sneaker depends on the kind of leather it is made of. For every one of our products, you can find a “Care & Guarantee” dropdown explaining how to best take care it.
How long does it take to break in the sneakers?
Our sneakers are designed to be exceptionally comfortable right from the first step. In most cases, there will be no break-in time required. We do, however, recommend gradually increasing the wearing time of the sneakers.
What does the sneaker warranty include?
Our sneakers are handcrafted of the best materials and will last for many years to come. Yet, in case any manufacturing defect should occur within the first 2 years, we’ve got you covered. To see a more detailed list of what is covered and what isn’t, click here.

Why are you displaying your production costs?
We all know that fashion brands heavily mark-up their prices. The traditional mark-up is 5-6 times. The mark-up for luxury brands can even be 10-15 times. They can do so, because we as consumers don't know the actual production price. We firmly believe that you have a right to know. That is the only way to empower you to make more informed and better purchasing positions. You can find the exact price-breakdown for each product in the “What it costs” section.
How do you calculate the traditional retail price?
This is how the fashion industry works traditionally:
Production Price x 2 - 2,5 (on average) = Wholesale Price
Wholesale Price x 2 - 2,5 (on average) = Traditional Retail Price
Take one of our Low-Top Sneakers for example. The Production Price is 58,10€.
Wholesale Price: 58,10€ x 2 = 116,20€
Traditional Retail Price: 116,20€ x 2,2 = 255,00€
Dalgado Price: 58,10 x 3,01 = 175,00€
We cut out the middle man, sell directly to you and pass the savings on to you. Our average mark-up is 3 times.
Why is transparency so important to you?
The fashion industry is notoriously opaque and deceiving. As a consumer you get hardly any reliable information on the actual origin of the materials and manufacturing conditions. We firmly believe the industry is fundamentally flawed. You have every right to know exactly what you are buying. That is why we reveal exactly where our products are made, what they are made of, and what they cost.
What does climate positive & plastic positive mean?
There is only one Earth and it is our responsibility to take care of it. Yet, regardless of how environmentally-friendly our materials and production processes are, every product has an ecological footprint. We do everything in our power to make sure it’s a positive one. For every single order, we plant one tree with our partner On A Mission and remove 1kg of plastic from our beloved Oceans with our partner Empower.
Being climate positive means that we as a Company go beyond achieving net zero carbon emissions and actually create an environmental benefit by removing additional carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Being plastic positive means that we as a Company remove more plastic from the oceans than is created during our entire production.
