Care Instructions
Cashmere is a delicate material that needs to be cared for properly. We generally recommend washing your cashmere product by hand. For hand-washing, use cool water and a delicate or specialist washing detergent Ph 8+. You can also use baby shampoo to maintain an ultra-soft texture.
If your cashmere is stained, we recommend bringing it to a professional dry cleaner. You can also try to machine wash it on a delicate cycle at a cool temperature of 30°C using a short cycle on a low spin (no more than 30 minutes). Make sure to take your cashmere product out of the machine right after washing.

"Made in"-Labels sind leider eine stark vereinfachte Wahrheit. Damit ein Produkt legal als z.B. "Made in Italy" gekennzeichnet werden darf, reicht es aus, wenn der letzte wesentliche Produktionsschritt in Italien erfolgt. Der Begriff „wesentlich“ wird dabei oftmals bis ins Unermessliche ausgereizt. Viele Marken, darunter auch viele Luxusmarken, nutzen dieses Schlupfloch aus und lassen ihre Produkte in Billiglohnländer in Osteuropa und Fernost produzieren, bevor sie in Italien „vollendet“ werden. Als Kunde weiß man davon leider meistens nichts. Für uns ist das nicht nur völlig falsch, sondern auch unvertretbar. Wir sind sehr stolz darüber, dass alle unsere Produkte in Familienbetrieben in Italien, Deutschland und Portugal hergestellt werden, in denen alle Handwerker mit dem Respekt behandelt werden, den sie verdienen.
Die Herstellung hochwertiger Mützen ist für unsere Schal & Mützenmanufaktur seit Jahrzehnten eine Familienpassion. Die in Genua ansässige Manufaktur fertigt seit 1922 luxuriöse Kaschmir-Accessoires für viele der führenden Luxusmarken. Die Kombination aus edlem Kaschmir und jahrzehntelanger Expertise resultiert in Kaschmir-Mützen, die ein Leben lang halten.

Traceability Moderne Lieferketten sind unglaublich komplex. Viele Modemarken machen sich deshalb gar nicht erst die Mühe, zu verstehen, woher ihre Komponenten kommen. Einige Lieferanten geben auch nur sehr ungerne ihre Zulieferer preis. Wir sind der festen Überzeugung, dass ein fertiges Produkt nur so gut sein kann, wie seine Einzelteile. Deshalb haben wir uns das ambitionierte Ziel gesetzt, unsere Lieferkette bis zum letzten Faden zurückzuverfolgen und dich genau wissen zu lassen, woraus unsere Produkte hergestellt werden.

Wir alle wissen, dass Modemarken ihre Preise stark aufschlagen. Aber wissen wir wirklich, um wie viel? Wir wussten es nicht und was wir herausfanden, schockierte uns. Traditionelle Modemarken auf Händlerbasis veranschlagen einen Faktor von 5-6. Luxus-Marken schlagen ihre Preise sogar um das 10-15-fache auf. Für uns ist das absolut ungerechtfertigt. Wir verzichten auf alle Mittelsmänner, verkaufen direkt an dich und geben die Einsparungen an dich weiter. Which materials are your scarves and beanies made of?
The raw cashmere comes from Inner and Outer Mongolia from the Capra Hircus Laniger. This particular kind of cashmere is considered to be the finest in the world due to the local climate. It is far superior to other cashmere in terms of softness, warmth, longevity, and pilling. The yarn, it’s dying, and the production are all done in Italy to ensure the highest quality standards and an environmentally-friendly production.
Which sizes are your scarves?
Our small scarves have a length of 170cm and 25cm width and our large scarves have a length of 195cm (8cm long Cashmere tassels) and 35cm width.
Which sizes are your beanies?
The beanies are unisize. Due to their construction and the natural properties of cashmere, they are very stretchy fit smoothly to any kind of head shape.
How do I take of my scarves and beanies?

Why are you displaying your production costs?
We all know that fashion brands heavily mark-up their prices. The traditional mark-up is 5-6 times. The mark-up for luxury brands can even be 10-15 times. They can do so, because we as consumers don't know the actual production price. We firmly believe that you have a right to know. That is the only way to empower you to make more informed and better purchasing positions. You can find the exact price-breakdown for each product in the “What it costs” section.
How do you calculate the traditional retail price?
This is how the fashion industry works traditionally:
Production Price x 2 - 2,5 (on average) = Wholesale Price
Wholesale Price x 2 - 2,5 (on average) = Traditional Retail Price
Take one of our braided belts for example. The Production Price is 31,27€.
Wholesale Price: 31,27€ x 2 = 62,54€
Traditional Retail Price: 62,54€ x 2,4 = 150,00€
Dalgado Price: 31,27 x 2,96 = 95,00€
We cut out the middle man, sell directly to you and pass the savings on to you. Our average mark-up is 3 times.

We firmly believe the industry is fundamentally flawed. You have every right to know exactly what you are buying. That is why we reveal exactly where our products are made, what they are made of, and what they cost.
What does climate positive & plastic positive mean?
There is only one Earth and it is our responsibility to take care of it. Yet, regardless of how environmentally-friendly our materials and production processes are, every product has an ecological footprint. We do everything in our power to make sure it’s a positive one.
