About the Tannery
Sohre Leder has been an authority on high-quality leathers in Germany since 1960. When the Kregelberg family took over the Tannery in 1993, the focus shifted to the production of vegetable-tanned leathers. Through continuous investments in the latest technology, the Tannery has managed to extend its excellent reputation as a premium manufacturer of first-class leathers beyond the country's borders and now counts many luxury brands as regular customers.
Alle Leder sind 100% Made in Germany.

Which leathers we use
We use their full-grain leathers for the lining leather of all of our belts. Sohre is one of the last remaining European tanneries specialized in the creation of vegetable-tanned leathers. This sustainable tanning methods renders the leathers extremely strong making them perfect for the creation of durable belts.

Full-grain leather
"Long-standing business relationships with slaughterhouses in south Germany enable us to offer "Leathers Made in Germany"; from the raw hides to the finished leather."

The work that goes into this leather
Leather is one of the oldest materials ever used by humans with historical records dating back many thousands of years. Even nowadays with modern technology, creating premium leathers is a complex and lengthy process. All of our raw hides are side-products of the meat and hunting industry. They are all tanned in Europe by some of the most prestigious tanneries in the world in compliance with the strict REACH Regulation to ensure a clean and sustainable production. The proud results are gorgeous leathers which will withstand the test of time and only become more beautiful with use.
