Additional notes:
- Wear the type of pants you plan to wear with the belt, as the thickness of the pants material can affect your hip size.
- If you don't have a flexible tape measure handy, thread a cord, cable, or ribbon through your belt loops, mark the point where it goes exactly once around your hips, and measure the distance with a regular tape measure.
- The pin should ideally fit through the center hole to ensure there's neither too much nor too little belt. The length from the center hole to the belt tip is 15 cm (total belt length = belt size + 15 cm; example: belt size 95 = total belt length 110).

This 3.5cm wide classic belt is handcrafted from premium materials in Germany's oldest belt factory. Premium Spanish full-grain leather with a natural grain and vegetable-tanned full-grain leather lining give the belt a sophisticated appearance and exceptional durability. A simple buckle made of solid brass with a high-quality palladium coating adds the finishing touch.

"Made in" labels are unfortunately a gross oversimplification. For a product to be legally labeled, for example, "Made in Italy," it is sufficient if the final essential production step takes place in Italy. The term "essential" is often stretched to the limit. Many brands, including many luxury brands, exploit this loophole and have their products manufactured in low-wage countries in Eastern Europe and the Far East before they are "finished" in Italy. Unfortunately, as a customer, you are usually unaware of this. To us, that is not only completely wrong, but also unacceptable. That is why all of our products are proudly crafted in family-owned workshops in Italy, Germany and Portugal where all artisans are treated with the respect they deserve.

Our Classic Belt Manufactory is the first Manufactory we ever worked with and will always have a special place in our hearts. Dating all the way back to 1825, it is not just the oldest belt Manufactory in Germany but also one of the very best. Every single belt is handcrafted of the finest materials by experienced artisans with the high aspiration to last a lifetime.

High-quality Spanish calf leather

The mineral-tanned semi-aniline upper leather comes from one of the world's most renowned tanneries, producing some of the finest leathers since 1889. You can feel the unmistakable quality of this wonderfully soft, full-grain calfskin with its natural grain. Only the finest raw hides, all byproducts of the European meat industry, are used to produce this premium leather. The hides are tanned according to the strict REACH regulations.

Sustainable vegetable-based lining leather

The lining leather comes from our German tannery and is vegetable-tanned full-grain cowhide. This rare and environmentally friendly tanning process makes the leather particularly strong and ensures the exceptionally long lifespan of our classic belts. The raw hides are a waste product of the European meat industry and are tanned in compliance with the strict REACH regulations.

Palladium-plated brass buckle

No belt is complete without the right buckle. That's why we use high-quality, solid brass from Italy. The buckles are made in a family-run business near Milan, founded in 1975. Finding a good buckle manufacturer is surprisingly difficult. That's why we don't reveal the name of our factory. There are some secrets that simply shouldn't be revealed. We hope you understand.

Strong sewing thread

  • Material: Polyester

We use polyester thread for the buckle seams. Polyester thread is significantly stronger than cotton thread, which is why we chose it for this high-stress area. Amann & Söhne is one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-quality sewing threads.

Pollutant-free paint

  • Properties: Water-soluble and free from harmful substances

The paint used to hand-paint the belt edges is water-soluble, free of harmful substances, and made in Italy. Unfortunately, we don't currently know the name of the factory that produces the paint. As soon as we have the name, we will update our traceability information.

Non-toxic adhesive

The glue is water-soluble, contains no harmful substances, and is made in Italy. Unfortunately, we don't currently know the name of the factory that produces the glue. As soon as we have the name, we will update our traceability information.

PREISMATRIX

We all know that fashion brands heavily mark-up their prices. But do we really know by how much? We certainly didn't and what we found out shocked us. Traditional retail brands mark-up their prices by 5-6 times. Luxury brands mark-up their prices by staggering 10-15 times. To us, that is unjustifiable. We cut out the middle man, sell directly to you and pass the savings on to you. Our average mark-up is 3 times and we reveal our exact production costs. You deserve to know.

As the name suggests, classic belts are true classics that have been an integral part of men's fashion for decades. With their natural grain, flattened edges, and simple buckle, this belt will always provide an elegant detail and add the finishing touch to any outfit.

200 years of experience

It takes the collaboration of four belt makers and 18 work steps to create one of our classic belts. The combination of 200 years of experience and superior materials guarantees the exceptional durability and elegant appearance of our belts.
