Additional notes:
- Wear the type of pants you plan to wear with the belt, as the thickness of the pants material can affect your hip size.
- If you don't have a flexible tape measure handy, thread a cord, cable, or ribbon through your belt loops, mark the point where it goes exactly once around your hips, and measure the distance with a regular tape measure.
- The pin should ideally fit through the center hole to ensure there's neither too much nor too little belt. The length from the center hole to the belt tip is 15 cm (total belt length = belt size + 15 cm; example: belt size 95 = total belt length 110).

From the raw materials to the final product, every single production step needed to craft this 3.0cm/1.2in wide belt takes place in Italy. It requires the long experience of revered artisans to create the hand-braided strap which gives the belt its distinctive timeless look. Vegetable-tanned in France, the supple yet durable full- grain calf leather retains its natural grain pattern and will develop a rich patina with time and use. The braided style pattern allows you to tie the belt wherever it fits best providing ultimate comfort.

Know what you are buying

The fashion industry is notoriously opaque and deceiving. As a consumer you get hardly any reliable information on the actual origin of the materials and manufacturing conditions. To us, that is fundamentally wrong. You have every right to know exactly what you are buying. That is the only way to make better purchasing decisions.

OUR MANUFACTORY FOR HAND-BRAIDED BELTS
Florence, Italy

"Made in" labels are unfortunately a gross oversimplification. For a product to be legally labeled, for example, "Made in Italy," it is sufficient if the final essential production step takes place in Italy. The term "essential" is often stretched to the limit. Many brands, including many luxury brands, exploit this loophole and have their products manufactured in low-wage countries in Eastern Europe and the Far East before they are "finished" in Italy. Unfortunately, as a customer, you are usually unaware of this. To us, that is not only completely wrong, but also unacceptable. That is why all of our products are proudly crafted in family-owned workshops in Italy, Germany and Portugal where all artisans are treated with the respect they deserve.

The traditional handicraft of hand-braiding belts is a nearly lost art. There are only very few belt makers left in the world with the necessary know-how to create them. We are very honored to have the chance to work with such an esteemed manufactory which produces some of the most beautiful belts on the market.

PREISMATRIX

We all know that fashion brands heavily mark-up their prices. But do we really know by how much? We certainly didn't and what we found out shocked us. Traditional retail brands mark-up their prices by 5-6 times. Luxury brands mark-up their prices by staggering 10-15 times. To us, that is unjustifiable. We cut out the middle man, sell directly to you and pass the savings on to you. Our average mark-up is 3 times and we reveal our exact production costs. You deserve to know.

Sustainable Vegetable-tanned Leather

Leather is the main component of our classic suede belts which is why we make no compromises when it comes to it. The leather is LWG Gold-rated Italian suede leather which is also the world’s first USDA certified biobased leather. The raw hides are side-products of the meat industry and are tanned in compliance with the strict REACH Regulations.

Timeless Elegance

Braided belts have enjoyed great popularity due to their timeless elegance for many decades. Paired with a sleek brass buckle, the 3.0cm/1.2in belt can be effortlessly worn with more formal or casual attire and will always look the part.
