Additional notes:
- Wear the type of pants you plan to wear with the belt, as the thickness of the pants material can affect your hip size.
- If you don't have a flexible tape measure handy, thread a cord, cable, or ribbon through your belt loops, mark the point where it goes exactly once around your hips, and measure the distance with a regular tape measure.
- The pin should ideally fit through the center hole to ensure there's neither too much nor too little belt. The length from the center hole to the belt tip is 15 cm (total belt length = belt size + 15 cm; example: belt size 95 = total belt length 110).

The 3.5 cm wide braided belt made of stretchy wool is characterized by exceptional durability and maximum comfort. Made in Italy, the belt stretches up to 20 cm and has no pre-determined holes, allowing it to be tied wherever it fits best. OUR MANUFACTORY FOR BRAIDED BELTS

"Made in" labels are unfortunately a gross oversimplification. For a product to be legally labeled, for example, "Made in Italy," it is sufficient if the final essential production step takes place in Italy. The term "essential" is often stretched to the limit. Many brands, including many luxury brands, exploit this loophole and have their products manufactured in low-wage countries in Eastern Europe and the Far East before they are "finished" in Italy. Unfortunately, as a customer, you are usually unaware of this. To us, that is not only completely wrong, but also unacceptable. That is why all of our products are proudly crafted in family-owned workshops in Italy, Germany and Portugal where all artisans are treated with the respect they deserve.

In 2017, we set out on the bold quest to find the very best braided belt maker. After many months, we finally found what we were looking for. The fourth generation family business has been honing their skills since 1913 and is known around the world for their exceptional high-quality braided belts. The Manufactory has already worked with many of the most esteemed luxury brands.

TRACEABILITY

Innovative elastic wool

  • Material: 30% pure wool, 70% acrylic
  • Origin of the material: Italy
  • Factory: Unknown
  • Location: Italy

The innovative wool-acrylic blend used for our elastic wool belts is amazingly durable and remarkably stretchy. This guarantees impressive longevity and maximum comfort. Unfortunately, our braided belt manufacturer is currently keeping the factory's name secret. As soon as we have the name, we will update our traceability information.

Hand-painted leather tips

  • Material: Full-grain cowhide
  • Origin of the material: By-product of the meat industry
  • Tanning method: Vegetable
  • Tannery: Unknown
  • Location: Italy

The leather used for the tips is full-grain, vegetable-tanned cowhide from Italy. It is tanned without added dyes and later hand-painted by our belt makers in the factory. This gives the leather its special color intensity. The raw hides are all byproducts of the European meat industry and are tanned according to the strict REACH regulations. Unfortunately, our braided belt factory is currently keeping the name of the tannery secret. As soon as we have the name, we will update our traceability information.

High-quality brass buckle

  • Material: Solid brass
  • Origin of the material: Italy
  • Manufactory: Secret
  • Location: Brescia, Italy

No belt is complete without the right buckle. That's why we use high-quality, solid brass from Italy. The buckles are made in a family-run business near Brescia, founded in 1972. Finding a good buckle manufacturer is surprisingly difficult. That's why we won't reveal the name of our factory. There are some secrets that simply shouldn't be revealed. We hope you understand.

Strong sewing thread

  • Material: Polyester
  • Origin of the material: Italy
  • Factory: Unknown

We use polyester thread for the stitching on the laces and buckle. Polyester thread is significantly stronger than cotton thread, which is why we chose it for these high-stress areas. Unfortunately, we do not currently know the name of the factory that produces the thread. As soon as we have the name, we will update our traceability information.

Pollutant-free paint

  • Material: Unknown
  • Origin of the material: Italy
  • Properties: Water-soluble and free from harmful substances
  • Factory: Unknown
  • Location: Italy

The paint used to hand-paint the belt edges is water-soluble, free of harmful substances, and made in Italy. Unfortunately, we don't currently know the name of the factory that produces the paint. As soon as we have the name, we will update our traceability information.

Non-toxic adhesive

  • Material: Unknown
  • Origin of the material: Italy
  • Properties: Water-soluble and free from harmful substances
  • Factory: Unknown
  • Location: Italy

The glue is water-soluble, contains no harmful substances, and is made in Italy. Unfortunately, we don't currently know the name of the factory that produces the glue. As soon as we have the name, we will update our traceability information.

PREISMATRIX

We all know that fashion brands heavily mark-up their prices. But do we really know by how much? We certainly didn't and what we found out shocked us. Traditional retail brands mark-up their prices by 5-6 times. Luxury brands mark-up their prices by staggering 10-15 times. To us, that is unjustifiable. We cut out the middle man, sell directly to you and pass the savings on to you. Our average mark-up is 3 times and we reveal our exact production costs. You deserve to know.
