Additional notes:
- Wear the type of pants you plan to wear with the belt, as the thickness of the pants material can affect your hip size.
- If you don't have a flexible tape measure handy, thread a cord, cable, or ribbon through your belt loops, mark the point where it goes exactly once around your hips, and measure the distance with a regular tape measure.
- The pin should ideally fit through the center hole to ensure there's neither too much nor too little belt. The length from the center hole to the belt tip is 15 cm (total belt length = belt size + 15 cm; example: belt size 95 = total belt length 110).

Braided belts have enjoyed great popularity for many years and are an excellent alternative to traditional belts. The braided pattern gives the belt a relaxed character, making it easy to combine with casual or dressy outfits. The combination of velvety Italian suede, modern viscose lining, and a simple brass buckle makes the 3.5cm wide belt the perfect accessory for a casually elegant style. The braided pattern allows you to tie the belt where it fits best, guaranteeing ultimate comfort. The belt pairs perfectly with our Ernesto low-top sneakers.

Know what you are buying

The fashion industry is notoriously opaque and deceiving. As a consumer you get hardly any reliable information on the actual origin of the materials and manufacturing conditions. To us, that is fundamentally wrong. You have every right to know exactly what you are buying. That is the only way to make better purchasing decisions.

OUR MANUFACTORY FOR BRAIDED BELTS
Milan, Italy

"Made in" labels are unfortunately a gross oversimplification. For a product to be legally labeled, for example, "Made in Italy," it is sufficient if the final essential production step takes place in Italy. The term "essential" is often stretched to the limit. Many brands, including many luxury brands, exploit this loophole and have their products manufactured in low-wage countries in Eastern Europe and the Far East before they are "finished" in Italy. Unfortunately, as a customer, you are usually unaware of this. To us, that is not only completely wrong, but also unacceptable. That is why all of our products are proudly crafted in family-owned workshops in Italy, Germany and Portugal where all artisans are treated with the respect they deserve.

In 2017, we set out on the bold quest to find the very best braided belt maker. After many months, we finally found what we were looking for. The fourth generation family business has been honing their skills since 1913 and is known around the world for their exceptional high-quality braided belts. The Manufactory has already worked with many of the most esteemed luxury brands.

Ecological viscose lining

  • Material: Viscose
  • Material origin: Waste product of the cotton industry
  • Factory: Unknown
  • Location: Italy
  • Certification: REACH, RCS, Oeko-Tex Standard 100

The extremely durable viscose used for the lining of our braided belts is an ecological yarn made from cotton linter, the residue of cotton plants after harvesting. The yarn essentially consists of agricultural waste and is RCS and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified and REACH compliant. Unfortunately, our braided belt manufacturer is currently keeping the name of the factory a secret. As soon as we have learned the name, we will update our traceability information.

High-quality brass buckle

  • Material: Solid brass
  • Origin of the material: Italy

No belt is complete without the right buckle. That's why we use high-quality, solid brass from Italy. The buckles are made in a family-run business near Brescia, founded in 1972. Finding a good buckle manufacturer is surprisingly difficult. That's why we won't reveal the name of our factory. There are some secrets that simply shouldn't be revealed. We hope you understand.

Strong sewing thread

Unfortunately, we do not currently know the name of the factory that produces the thread. As soon as we have the name, we will update our traceability information.

Non-toxic adhesive

  • Material: Unknown
  • Origin of the material: Italy

The glue is water-soluble, contains no harmful substances, and is made in Italy. Unfortunately, we don't currently know the name of the factory that produces the glue. As soon as we have the name, we will update our traceability information.

PREISMATRIX

We all know that fashion brands heavily mark-up their prices. But do we really know by how much? We certainly didn't and what we found out shocked us. Traditional retail brands mark-up their prices by 5-6 times. Luxury brands mark-up their prices by staggering 10-15 times. To us, that is unjustifiable. We cut out the middle man, sell directly to you and pass the savings on to you. Our average mark-up is 3 times and we reveal our exact production costs. You deserve to know.

High-quality Italian suede

Leather is the main component of our braided suede belts. That's why we make no compromises when it comes to leather quality. The Italian suede has been awarded the Gold Seal of Quality by the LWG and is the world's first USDA-certified bio-based leather. The raw hides are a byproduct of the meat industry and are tanned in compliance with the strict REACH regulations.

Timeless elegance

Braided suede belts have enjoyed great popularity for decades due to their timeless elegance. Equipped with a simple brass buckle, the belt transforms into a versatile accessory that can be easily combined with formal or casual attire.

100 years of experience

It takes the collaboration of nine Italian belt makers and 12 work steps to create one of our braided suede belts. The combination of over 100 years of experience and superior materials guarantees the exceptional durability and elegant appearance of our belts.
