Stitch by stich, the gloves turn into a true gem of Italian handicraft. Genuine Carpincho leather is one of the most luxurious, expensive, and rarest gloving leathers in the world. The lining is made of incredibly fine Mongolian cashmere which will keep your hands warm even during the coldest winter days.

THE CRAFTSMANSHIP AND MATERIALS THAT MAKE OUR GLOVES STAND OUT

Guaranteed luxury quality without the markup The traditional art of glove-making has been a family passion for our Glove Manufactory since 1860. The rare combination of highly-skilled artisans and premium materials results in fairly-priced luxury gloves which will withstand the test of time. We guarantee it.

KNOW WHAT YOU BUY

The fashion industry is notoriously opaque and deceiving. As a consumer you get hardly any reliable information on the actual origin of the materials and manufacturing conditions. To us, that is fundamentally wrong. You have every right to know exactly what you are buying. That is the only way to make better purchasing decisions.

OUR GLOVE MANUFACTORY
Naples, Italy

"Made in" labels are unfortunately a highly simplified truth. For a product to be legally labeled as "Made in Italy", for example, it is sufficient that the last essential production step took place in Italy. The term "essential" is often stretched to the limit. Many brands, including many luxury brands, use this loophole and have their products manufactured in low-wage countries in Eastern Europe and the Far East before they are "luxurified" in Italy. Unfortunately, as a consumer, you hardly ever know about this. To us, that is totally wrong and inexcusable. That is why all of our products are proudly crafted in family-owned workshops in Italy, Germany and Portugal where all artisans are treated with the respect they deserve.

The traditional handicraft of glove-making is a nearly lost art and there are only very few master glove makers left in the world. We are very honored to be working with one of the most revered glove master families in the world. They have been crafting beautiful gloves for many luxury brands since the middle of the 19th century and their quality is absolutely superb.

Price Breakdown

We all know that fashion brands heavily mark-up their prices. But do we really know by how much? We certainly didn't and what we found out shocked us. Traditional retail brands mark-up their prices by 5-6 times. Luxury brands mark-up their prices by staggering 10-15 times. To us, that is unjustifiable. We cut out the middle man, sell directly to you and pass the savings on to you. Our average mark-up is 3 times and we reveal our exact production costs. You deserve to know.

Premium Genuine Carpincho

Genuine Carpincho leather is one of the finest, most luxurious, and most expensive gloving leather in the world due to its velvety soft touch, astonishing durability, and rarity. With proper care, the gloves will last for many years to come; maybe even for generations.

Timless Class

With its unique 5-prong pores pattern, Carpincho leather is by nature a more casual gloving leather. Yet, in combination with handsewn stitching and 3 decorative points on the backside our Carpincho gloves embody timeless class and effortless elegance.

160 Years Experience

The process of crafting a single pair of our cashmere-lined Carpincho gloves is extremely intricate and complex. It takes the collaboration of 15 master glove makers and seamstresses, 18 individual production steps, and over 2,000 stitches to turn the raw materials into a finished pair of gloves; a true gem of Italian handicraft.

Climate & Plastic Positive

For every single order, we plant one tree with our partner On A Mission and remove 80 plastic bottles from our beloved Oceans with our partner Empower. We are very proud to be a climate-positive and plastic-positive Company. All of our gloves are packaged completely plastic-free in a beautiful black glove box made of FSC certified paper. Every product has a footprint. We do everything in our power to make sure it’s a positive one.

GENERAL FAQ

Why are you displaying your production costs?
We all know that fashion brands heavily mark-up their prices. The traditional mark-up is 5-6 times. The mark-up for luxury brands can even be 10-15 times. They can do so, because we as consumers don't know the actual production price. We firmly believe that you have a right to know. That is the only way to empower you to make more informed and better purchasing positions. You can find the exact price-breakdown for each product in the “What it costs” section.

How do you calculate the traditional retail price?
This is how the fashion industry works traditionally:
Production Price x 2 - 2,5 (on average) = Wholesale Price
Wholesale Price x 2 - 2,5 (on average) = Traditional Retail Price

Take one of our Peccary Gloves for example. The Production Price is 78,95€.
Wholesale Price: 78,95€ x 2 = 157,90€
Traditional Retail Price: 157,90€ x 2,2 = 345,00€
Dalgado Price: 78,05 x 2,97 = 235,00€

We cut out the middle man, sell directly to you and pass the savings on to you. Our average mark-up is 3 times.

Why is transparency so important to you?
The fashion industry is notoriously opaque and deceiving. As a consumer you get hardly any reliable information on the actual origin of the materials and manufacturing conditions. We firmly believe the industry is fundamentally flawed. You have every right to know exactly what you are buying. That is why we reveal exactly where our products are made, what they are made of, and what they cost.

What does climate positive & plastic positive mean?
There is only one Earth and it is our responsibility to take care of it. Yet, regardless of how environmentally-friendly our materials and production processes are, every product has an ecological footprint. We do everything in our power to make sure it’s a positive one. For every single order, we plant one tree with our partner On A Mission and remove 1kg of plastic from our beloved Oceans with our partner Empower.

Being climate positive means that we as a Company go beyond achieving net zero carbon emissions and actually create an environmental benefit by removing additional carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Being plastic positive means that we as a Company remove more plastic from the oceans than is created during our entire production.
